About the Role:We're seeking an experienced Project Manager to support large-scale retail construction and remodel programs for a leading big-box grocery client. In this role, you'll act as an extension of the client's design and construction team, leading end-to-end project delivery across multiple active retail sites.
This is a hybrid role based in Bentonville, Arkansas, with periodic travel (25-30%) to project locations. You'll be part of a high-performing program management team, managing multiple concurrent projects in fast-paced, operational retail environments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- On-Site project management of construction activities
- Directs and coordinates the activities of project team to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.
- Proactively communicates project related issues directly with Senior Project Manager, Project Executive, or Operations Director.
- Examines construction documentation including drawings, schedules, and scopes to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Reviews bid results, specifications, test and progress reports, and other project information necessary to gain complete familiarity with the project.
- Confirms and verifies permitting requirements related to the project or program.
- Directly manages and monitors project work in the field.
- Diligently manages change orders to projects.
- Follows established standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
- Prepares and provides weekly status reports for projects.
- Proactively identifies and solves or elevates project issues related to cost, schedule, safety, or qualify.
- Represents the company in project meetings.
- Develops and maintains relationships with clients, potential clients, subcontractors and vendors to help develop new opportunities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: - Minimum 4-year degree in an accredited construction related program or equivalent; or
- 5-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience managing retail construction projects, ideally within grocery or big-box environments
- Strong understanding of multi-site program management
- Knowledge of construction processes including pre-construction, permitting, scheduling, and closeout
Pay & Benefits:The anticipated compensation range for the position is $105,000 to $130,000, is based on a full-time schedule, market and business conditions, and is commensurate on individual education, qualifications, and experience.
