Project Manager, Renewables Engineering

Westwood Professional Services, Inc.

The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing complex and/or multi-service renewable energy engineering projects for Westwood. They will ensure the successful completion of projects within scope, schedule, and budget, while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and delivering high-quality results. The Project Manager will also provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members and collaborate with service leads to coordinate project activities.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing complex and/or multi-service renewable energy engineering projects supporting utility-scale solar developments. You will ensure the successful completion of projects within scope, schedule, and budget, while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and delivering high-quality results. In addition, you will provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members and collaborate with service leads to coordinate project activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Full accountability on multiple renewable energy engineering projects:
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, both internal and external.
  • Coordinate and manage project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and implement project plans, monitoring progress and making adjustments as needed.
  • Oversee project work and ensure deliverables meet quality standards and contractual obligations.
  • Track project health and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Manage uncertainty and change, such as scope creep and change orders.
  • Ensure timely invoicing and accounts receivable collection.
  • Coordinate with internal engineering teams including civil, electrical, and environmental disciplines.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for EPC clients and developers.
  • Ensure engineering deliverables align with EPC project schedules and construction milestones.


Requirements

  • General knowledge of construction with experience providing construction phase services
  • Track record of successfully winning and delivering projects
  • Experience in accounts receivable, invoicing, and overall duties involved in managing a design team
  • Experience preparing proposals, scopes of work and qualification packages
  • Experience developing and implementing marketing pursuit strategies
  • Ability to develop relationships with peers, clients, and public agency staff.
  • Ability to coach and motivate others

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, or project management related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in a project coordinator, engineering project management, or similar role
  • Professional licensure in a technical field or ability to obtain PMP certification\
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
