Civil Engineer Project Manager - Public Works / Municipal Infrastructure - Dallas, Texas

Halff has an immediate opening in our Dallas or Richardson, Texas office for a Professional Civil Engineer with 4-7 years of experience in public works / municipal infrastructure. Relevant experience may include municipal roadways, storm drainage systems, water and wastewater utilities, and other public infrastructure improvements.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for an engineer seeking increased project responsibility, client interaction, professional development, and long-term growth with Halff, including the potential for ownership in the firm.

What You Will Do
  • Manage and support the design and delivery of municipal infrastructure projects, including roadways, drainage systems, detention facilities, and water and wastewater utilities.
  • Coordinate design and plan production from project initiation through construction.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, subconsultants, and internal project teams.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and quality-control plans.
  • Provide technical direction and mentorship to engineers-in-training and design staff.
  • Coordinate worksharing opportunities with multiple Halff practices and offices.
  • Support construction-phase services and respond to contractor and client questions.
  • Assist with client development, proposal preparation, and relationship-building with municipal clients and teaming partners.
  • Perform work with a high degree of autonomy while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

What You Will Need
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering or an ABET-accredited equivalent engineering program.
  • Professional Engineer license in Texas or the ability to obtain Texas licensure within six months.
  • 4-7 years of experience in public works, municipal roadway, storm drainage systems, water and wastewater utility, or related infrastructure design.
