Ottawa Project Manager

The basic function of the Project Manager is to facilitate the optimization, application and ordering of all EH Price products. To provide accurate and timely support, to all stakeholders in the HVAC industry. For this specific position the candidate must have a thorough understanding of mechanical systems to be able to make optimal selections, and designs of our partner's products.

The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:

The following are the principal duties of the Project Manager

Develop and maintain relationships with all industry stakeholders (Engineers, Architects, Contractors, Developers, Owners etc.)

Control the project fulfillment process in accordance with company goals and objectives.

This will include:
  • Be able to identify and maximize opportunity.
  • Product submittals drawings.
  • Review and interpret equipment schedules, drawings and specifications.
  • Identify discrepancies between contract documents, our quote, and the project requirements.
  • Process orders expeditiously following the approval process and relay estimated delivery information to the customer.
  • Carry out product selections to best suit the application at time of construction.
  • Prepare quotations for any changes during the fulfillment process in collaboration with our customer.

Self-educate, and attend manufacturer's factory / training visits, to ensure you are constantly up to date on the latest product developments and software tools. (Some travel will be involved).

Understand, and remain current with, both industry and local codes, regulations, and market trends, to ensure compliance.

Service the contracting community in an accurate and timely manner.

Maintain an understanding of our competitor's product offering.

Visiting job sites as and when on-site challenges present themselves.

Work as part of a team, cultivating strong customer relationships remains a priority, involving exceptional service and a Customer First approach. Active participation in customer events, including open houses and sporting events, further enhances business connections.

Perform other duties assigned by your manager.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

A minimum of 5 years' experience in an HVAC equipment related field.

A valid passport and ability to travel to the US for product training is required.

Diploma in Engineering Technology, Project Management or associated field are an asset.

Working Knowledge of Microsoft suite of products.

Knowledge of Bluebeam is a strong asset.

Understanding of how to read & interpret construction drawings.

Positive attitude, exemplary attendance, ethical business practices, and a reliable team member.
