Job Description

Position Summary:

The project manager's primary role will be coordination between the engineering, operations, and facilities teams in developing and implementing capital projects. The project manager will be responsible for oversight on project scope development, project submittal, staying within defined budget, installation of all capital equipment, and ensuring project milestones are completed on time. This position will ensure all projects are completed in accordance with organizational goals, company policies and procedures and state and federal regulations.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinates the recommendation, planning, and implementation of equipment to improve production efficiency, meet cost containment goals, and support plant needs for growth and safety improvements.
  • Works with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to develop projects to support new product lines.
  • Coordinates planning and contracting of the outside plant engineering services as needed.
  • Oversight of capital equipment installations including standards of workmanship and safety requirements.
  • Develops and manages capital equipment project budgets.
  • Ensure capital equipment installations are completed on-time and per design plan.
  • Follows all established financial procedures when ordering equipment, supplies and services.
  • Responsible for safety compliance of local, state, federal agencies for the facility including 6s activities.
  • Other duties as assigned


Required Skills:
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, relentlessly execute and deliver results in conformance with action plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations and priorities.
  • Project and capital management experience including installation of equipment and facility upgrades.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

  • Proven ability to work hands-on with the team to achieve objectives.
  • Proven experience in Manufacturing Industry and project management.

Experience & Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering field. MS or MBA degree is desirable.
  • Prefer 5+ years of project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of mechanical, electrical, computer driven, pneumatic and hydraulic manufacturing systems.
