Full Job Description

Job Summary

As a Project Manager, you'll be the backbone of project delivery, turning plans into action and keeping teams aligned on what matters most: safety, budget, and timeline. You'll own the full lifecycle, from initial planning and resource organization through execution, monitoring, and course-correction as needed.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on structure without losing sight of the people involved. You'll need a sharp eye for detail, the ability to anticipate and solve problems before they derail momentum, and the kind of steady presence that keeps teams confident even when things get complicated. If you're the person who actually makes things happen-not just talks about them-this is your role.

What You'll Do
  • Define project scope, goals, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, then manage all of it through to completion, keeping costs, schedules, and deliverables on track.
  • Secure required permits, monitor third-party applications, identify and mitigate risks, and champion safe work practices across the team at every stage.
  • Lead design and engineering reviews, ensure technical activities stay on scope, and hold all deliverables to the required quality standards.
  • Build and lead your project team; assign roles, manage personnel and equipment, and foster a collaborative environment where people do their best work.
  • Keep accurate, up-to-date records of all project documentation, communications, and status reporting throughout the lifecycle.
  • Own all aspects of project execution through to equipment transportation. Once on site, construction and installation activities transfer to the Construction Manager. You're also responsible for ensuring all vendor data, manuals, and technical documentation are delivered to Construction and Commissioning on time.
  • Own the formal closure and handover to Operations, including sign-offs, deficiency lists, and lessons learned.

What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (or an equivalent combination of technical education and relevant industry experience)
  • 5-8 years of progressive project management experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, demonstrating strong knowledge of project management methodologies, processes, and best practices
  • Strong self-motivation with the ability to take initiative, and direct project work effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to drive project execution from initiation through to successful completion
  • Solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to provide clear direction, make decisive recommendations, and build consensus among stakeholders
  • Skilled at aligning cross-functional teams around common goals and project objectives
  • Highly adaptable, with the ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders

How You'll Stand Out
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in good standing with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC)
  • Previous project management experience within the chemical or industrial sector
  • Previous work experience in start-up environment
