The anticipated salary range for this position is $118,000 USD Annual. The actual compensation offered may vary based on job related factors such as experience, skills, education and location.

This role serves as the primary project lead and trusted partner for customers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams throughout the deployment lifecycle. The Project Manager is responsible for driving business-critical, customer-facing initiatives from concept through implementation, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic objectives. Experience in Healthcare Project Management is preferred.

The successful candidate will apply disciplined project management methodologies to oversee all phases of project execution, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling, and project closure. This role will also develop and execute stakeholder communication, governance, and change management strategies to support adoption and achieve measurable business outcomes.

As a senior member of the Innovation Solutions team, this individual will manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously, partner with leadership to prioritize strategic investments, and help establish scalable project management practices that accelerate innovation across Owens & Minor and its customers.

Core Responsibilities

Strategic Project Leadership

  • Partner with customers and internal leaders to define, prioritize, and execute strategic technology implementation projects.
  • Translate business objectives into actionable project plans with clearly defined deliverables, milestones, success metrics, and timelines.
  • Lead complex, cross-functional programs from initiation through successful deployment and project closeout.
  • Drive project execution while navigating ambiguity, competing priorities, and evolving business requirements.
  • Establish project governance structures and facilitate decision-making processes to ensure alignment across stakeholders.

Customer Engagement & Implementation

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout implementation projects, building trusted relationships and ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer goals, operational challenges, and success criteria to drive effective solution deployment.
  • Lead customer-facing meetings, progress reviews, training activities, and implementation readiness assessments.
  • Partner with customer stakeholders to support adoption, change management, and realization of expected business outcomes.

Program Management & Governance

  • Develop and maintain project charters, work plans, budgets, schedules, resource plans, risk registers, and status reporting.
  • Facilitate steering committee and executive governance meetings to communicate progress, escalate issues, and drive key decisions.
  • Ensure project status information, risks, dependencies, financial performance, and deliverables are effectively communicated to stakeholders.
  • Identify, monitor, and proactively mitigate project risks and obstacles to maintain planned outcomes.

Analytics & Continuous Improvement

  • Perform operational analyses, process mapping, workflow assessments, and data-driven evaluations to support project objectives.
  • Define, measure, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and project success metrics.
  • Utilize data and business insights to identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices within the Innovation Solutions organization.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Lead cross-functional teams across business units and functional areas to achieve project objectives.
  • Influence decisions and drive outcomes through collaboration rather than direct authority.
  • Build strong relationships across all levels of the organization, including executive leadership, customer stakeholders, and operational teams.
  • Provide project management subject matter expertise and mentorship to support organizational project success.

Education & Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience leading complex, high-visibility business or technology implementation projects.
  • Demonstrated success managing cross-functional teams and delivering projects that achieve measurable business results.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, facilitation, and executive presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced analytical, planning, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
  • Ability to travel up to 40%.
  • Experience in Healthcare Project Management preferred.

Preferred

  • PMP, PMI, or equivalent project management certification.
  • Experience within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 consulting organization.
  • Experience implementing technology, automation, digital, or operational transformation solutions.
  • Healthcare, medical device, supply chain, logistics, or regulated-industry experience.
  • Formal training or demonstrated experience in Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience leading customer-facing technology implementations and change management initiatives.
