The Strategic Solutions Team (SST) partners with our global sales team to provide strategic guidance and client-facing support from discovery through vendor selection. Within SST, Project Managers play a vital role in winning and retaining clients-especially in complex Enterprise+ pursuits-by leading large-scale sales projects and managing deliverables such as RFPs, presentations, site visits, and business cases.
This role requires strong project management, communication, and strategic thinking skills
Primary Responsibilities & Attributes:- Lead and manage major sales projects, particularly Enterprise+ opportunities, ensuring timely and successful completion.
- Assemble and coordinate cross-functional "strike teams" under SST leadership direction.
- Act as the primary liaison for gathering critical input from global subject matter experts (SMEs).
- Collaborate across departments including Sales, Marketing, Client Success, and others.
- Provide strategic recommendations to improve sales documents, presentations, and messaging.
- Follow and improve project plans and internal processes; contribute to special initiatives (e.g., VCP).
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Communicate effectively, delegate tasks, and escalate issues when needed.
- Build strong relationships and trust with global sales teams and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain composure and organization under pressure; demonstrate flexibility to support global counterparts.
- Use and adapt to team platforms (e.g., JIRA, Salesforce, Responsive, SharePoint, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrate a collaborative, positive attitude that enhances team culture.
- Work independently and as part of a team, showing accountability in both contexts.
- Proactively seek learning opportunities and stay current on O.C. Tanner offerings.
Skills, Education, and Certifications:- Bachelor's degree (or higher) preferred.
- Understanding of O.C. Tanner's products, services, and technology.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal and external audiences.
- Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent) preferred, or willingness to pursue.
- Knowledge of employee recognition and HR-related topics.
