We're currently looking for a
Project Manager to add to our team in
Long Beach, CA! This role offers you the opportunity to be a key member of our project management team, leading a long-term capital improvement program for a reputable higher education client. The program will include a variety of renovation and facility improvement projects involving fire/life-safety, accessibility, code compliance, building systems, and infrastructure upgrades within an active, occupied environment. We are seeking an individual who can lead clients to success on their projects from planning and pre-construction through construction and close-out.
Responsibilities:- Facilitate communication and manage stakeholders, including facility staff, project coordinators, contractors, design professionals, consultants, and regulatory agencies.
- Prepare and present written reports, presentations, meeting minutes, and other project documentation related to project status, risks, schedule, and budget.
- Manage projects throughout planning, design, permitting, construction, commissioning, and closeout phases.
- Review and coordinate RFIs, submittals, schedules, change orders, pay applications, and other project documentation.
- Manage field activities to ensure work is completed in accordance with project requirements, schedule, and quality expectations.
- Monitor project budgets, schedules, risks, and overall project performance.
- Coordinate with project teams to identify and resolve constructability, schedule, cost, and operational issues.
- Facilitate project meetings and maintain project reporting, logs, and document controls.
- Manage and monitor the pace and schedule of the project in conjunction with office-based cost and schedule support.
- Provide strong project controls, including monitoring project risks, quality issues, and potential cost/schedule impacts.
Qualifications:- A minimum of 7+ years of Construction Project Management experience.
- Experience with higher education construction projects is highly preferred.
- Experience managing projects within active, occupied facilities.
- Experience with renovation and capital improvement projects involving fire/life-safety, ADA/accessibility, code compliance, building systems, or deferred maintenance preferred.
- Experience managing multiple, high-value projects, both new and renovation.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel user and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.

Compensation: $140,000 - $155,000
