Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary customer liaison throughout the project.
  • Review customer specs and orders for accuracy.
  • Lead project kickoff meetings and status updates.
  • Identify and communicate project issues early for resolution.
  • Coordinate customer visits for inspections and meetings.
  • Promote additional sales opportunities with existing customers.
  • Adhere to safety and quality standards.

Full Job Description
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

As a Project Manager at nVent Management Company, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our projects are accomplished flawlessly and on schedule. You can expect to:

  • Ensure the project is delivered in accordance with the Contract/PO and specifications.
  • Establish and manage project schedules with customers and within nVent to meet deadlines.
  • Identify, negotiate, and manage change orders, acquiring necessary approvals before initiation.
  • Analyze project revenue, cost, and profitability, including material and labor costs.
  • Update achievement billing reports and ensure accurate invoices are sent promptly.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact throughout the project lifecycle, acting as a liaison between multiple departments.
  • Review customer specifications, project quotes, and purchase orders for accuracy.
  • Lead internal and external project kickoff meetings, build reviews, and status updates.
  • Identify and communicate issues and risks early, driving resolutions to keep projects on track.
  • Coordinate customer visits, ensuring smooth logistics for inspections, testing, and meetings.
  • Promote nVent with existing customers for potential additional sales opportunities!
  • Adhere to nVent safety and quality standards to ensure both nVent and customer requirements are met.


YOU HAVE:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred, or at least 5 years' experience in industrial manufacturing, engineering, construction, or other related industry fields.
  • PMP Certification preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience using Excel, Microsoft Project (or similar scheduling software), and ERP systems such as JDE, Oracle, or SAP.
  • Experience working with customers on long-term projects.
  • Experience with industrial electrical systems and the ability to interpret and construct according to various specifications.
  • Strong time management and complex problem-solving skills.
  • Proven negotiation abilities and capacity to manage several projects at once.
  • The skill to interact efficiently with diverse groups across a global commercial context.
