Key Responsibilities: - Takes projects from original concept through to final implementation and transition to operations
- Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports
- Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis
- Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables
- Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team
- Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems
- Manages and takes accountability for project budgets and financial reporting
What We're Looking For: - You have a proven track record in managing and supervising staff, excellent communications skills, strong interpersonal skills (including the ability to deal effectively with all levels of staff both internal and external)
- Project management experience and the ability to work in a team environment.
What You'll Need: - A bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution. Electrical Engineering degree is preferred.
- You must be eligible for membership with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador (PEGNL) as either a professional member or engineer-in-training.
- A minimum seven (7) years work experience in project management, including all aspects of the project life cycle.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute would be considered an asset.
- Experience managing Enterprise Resource Planning implementations, specifically JD Edwards, would be an asset.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
