Responsibilities & Expectations: As the Project Manager for our Medium Voltage (MV) Capture team, this individual acts as the principal coordinator and processor of all customer orders and is the primary point of contact for all internal and external customers as well as suppliers. The role combines a sales-oriented approach, strong technical expertise in AC & DC motors and components, and rigorous project management skills to deliver an unmatched customer experience.
- This is a nationwide role with expectations of travel to IPS facilities, customer sites and various OEM and partner facilities. As such, the preferred location for this role is near a major airport anywhere in the US
- Works closely with MV team members, service center personnel and various members of our technical staff to properly analyze a customer's requirement, participate in selecting the right solution, generating the proposal (including scope, cost, lead time) and fulfilling the order
- Coordinate with outside sales representatives to transition awarded opportunities into active projects
- Review purchase orders and commercial requirements for accuracy
- Act as the primary customer contact for project status, scheduling, technical coordination, and issue resolution
- Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking key milestones and deliverables
- Work closely with manufacturing facilities and OEM partners to monitor production schedules and resolve delays
- Coordinates all aspects of design, production and acceptance testing to ensure complete customer satisfaction and on-schedule delivery in accordance with milestones and maintains accurate records accordingly
- Coordinating factory acceptance testing (FAT), witness testing, and customer inspections
- Serve as the primary resource for shipping and logistics, with a working knowledge of Incoterms, domestic and international shipping procedures, export documentation, customs requirements, and freight coordination
- Review and ensure compliance with master service agreements, contractual documentation, and project administration, including data integrity within internal systems
Qualifications and Competencies: - Minimum of 5-7 years of technical project/program management experience with AC & DC motors
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a relevant technical field
- Must be fluent in written and spoken English
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project and Outlook
- Proficiency in computer-aided design and wiring diagrams (an asset)
- Project management certification, such as PMP or CAPM (an asset)
- Must be able to travel 25-30% of the time throughout North America
