Description

The Manhattan Strategy Group (MSG) LLC, a rapidly growing management consulting firm, is seeking Project Manager for an upcoming opportunity out of the Department of Labor, Office of Foreign Labor Certifications for their National Processing Centers.

Location: Chicago, IL, Atlanta, GA and Washington, D.C.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversees the day-to-day operations of the contract staff.
  • Supervises, directs, and coordinates the activities and schedules of contract supervisors / team leads, case processing analysts, and other operational support staff across staffed labor categories.
  • Develops and oversees quality and production / performance goals for assigned staff and monitors staff-level performance.
  • Works collaboratively with the Government's on-site senior management concerning the assignment of daily work
  • Communicates all contract issues directly to the Contractor's Program Director for appropriate resolution with the OFLC Headquarters management team.
  • Provides timely feedback with a proposed resolution when the Federal Director raises a concern that standard operating procedures and/or other government-approved standards of review are not being followed.
  • Maintains contract staff production and productivity standards, meets deadlines, adheres to Government Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and complies with performance expectations established by the Government
  • Implements daily processes for preparing and reviewing all routine production and performance reports, identifies areas of deficiency or inefficiency that require action, assigns work tasks to contract staff, as appropriate, and takes prompt action to ensure compliance with the Government SOPs, policies, regulations, statutes, or other contract requirements.
  • Meets weekly with the Federal Director to discuss production status and operational issues.

Qualifications (Required):
  • Manager must be based in Atlanta (GA), Chicago (IL) or the Washington D.C. Metro area
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, industrial organization or related field.
  • Hold a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or Six Sigma certification.
  • Demonstrated experience managing Federal projects overseeing large teams of 50+ staff members.
  • Documented experience managing processes related to prevailing wage determination, H-2A and H-2B visas for the Office of Foreign Labor Certification at the U.S. Department of Labor.
