Description

We're looking for a Project Manager who can own the customer experience while also ensuring every project is accurately measured, documented, and ready for production. This hybrid role is ideal for someone with experience in construction, windows, remodeling, project management, or field operations who enjoys working both with customers and in the field.

You'll serve as a critical link between the customer, sales team, production team, installers, and office-making sure projects move smoothly from sold job to successful completion across San Luis Obispo and the surrounding Central Coast communities.

What You'll Be Doing

Own the Project: Manage projects from the initial post-sale process through completion, serving as the primary field point of contact for homeowners and internal teams.

Measure With Precision: Conduct accurate field measurements for windows, doors, and other remodeling projects, ensuring measurements meet production and installation requirements.

Prepare Projects for Production: Review sold projects, plans, contracts, measurements, and customer selections to identify potential issues before materials are ordered or installation begins.

Set Customer Expectations: Communicate timelines, project requirements, next steps, and expectations clearly with homeowners throughout the project lifecycle.

Conduct Site Visits: Visit customer homes throughout San Luis Obispo and surrounding Coastal California markets to complete measurements, inspections, project reviews, and quality-control checks.

Coordinate Installation: Work closely with installers, subcontractors, production teams, and internal departments to ensure projects are scheduled and completed properly.

Identify & Resolve Issues: Proactively identify measurement discrepancies, product concerns, site conditions, or customer issues and develop solutions before they impact production or installation.

Maintain Accurate Documentation: Ensure measurements, photos, project notes, customer communications, and required documentation are accurately entered into the company's CRM and project management systems.

Quality Control: Conduct pre-installation and post-installation inspections to verify workmanship, project specifications, and customer expectations are being met.

Support the Customer Experience: Maintain professional, responsive communication and help deliver a seamless experience from the initial project handoff through completion.

Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with Sales, Production, Operations, Scheduling, and Installation teams to keep projects moving efficiently and address challenges quickly.

Travel Throughout the Market: Regularly travel throughout San Luis Obispo and surrounding Coastal California communities to support projects and customers.

What You Need

• 2+ years of experience in construction, remodeling, windows, doors, project management, field operations, or a related industry
• Strong understanding of construction processes, job-site conditions, and residential remodeling
• Experience taking accurate measurements and interpreting project specifications
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential issues before they become problems
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
• Comfortable working independently in the field while collaborating with a larger team
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Experience using CRM, project management, or other technology-based systems
• Professional appearance and ability to represent Lifetime positively in customers' homes
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to travel throughout the San Luis Obispo and surrounding Coastal California markets

Physical Requirements

• Regular travel throughout the San Luis Obispo and surrounding Coastal California areas
• Ability to work in residential construction environments and active job sites
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb stairs, and work in various positions during measurements and inspections
• Ability to use ladders and access areas around residential properties when necessary
• Ability to lift, carry, and move project materials, tools, and equipment as needed
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to safely navigate construction sites and residential properties
• Occasional evening or weekend availability may be required based on customer and project needs
