About the role The Project Manager provides consulting services to our life sciences client account to help achieve the company's strategic business objectives. The Project Manager will lead multiple capital improvement construction projects in a medical device R&D lab and manufacturing facility in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Projects include electrical infrastructure upgrades, tenant improvements, and facility renovations.
This job is part of the Project Management function. They are responsible for the management of projects from initiation through completion
. This role requires an onsite presence 5 days/week at our client facility in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. What You'll Do Manage all areas of project management for singular real estate projects including planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout.
Work directly with clients to prepare all elements of the project including the scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimates & budget, work plan schedule & milestones, quality control, and risk identification.
Define the project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through the project qualification process.
Conduct a standard request for proposals, complete bid evaluations, and recommend resources to clients.
Lead and coordinate manufacturing equipment installation and commissioning activities.
Coordinate work of outside design engineers and construction contractors.
Collaborate with local planning authorities and client's corporate representatives.
Run client relations, including progress meetings, correspondence, periodic reports, change orders and response to client inquiries.
Maintain and adhere to provisions of FDA, OSHA, GMP, and ISO specifications
Review and supervise project progress, quality, and safety. Work with superintendent to make corrections, as the need arises, to align with contract and company policy and procedures.
Improve project cash flow through invoicing and collections. Prepare requisitions for payment and other required project invoicing.
Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE (Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence) values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
What you'll need Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM designation(s) preferred.
- Ability to read and understand architectural drawings, leases, contracts, and construction documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience in MS Project or similar project management software
- Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mentality.
- Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
