IMD is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of mechanical construction and engineering projects. This role is responsible for managing project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client relationships throughout the project lifecycle. The Project Manager will serve as a key liaison between clients, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure successful project outcomes while maintaining IMD's commitment to safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects.
Communicate project status, risks, schedule updates, and budget performance to clients and leadership.
Facilitate project meetings and ensure timely resolution of project issues.
Project Planning & Execution
Manage projects from kickoff through closeout, ensuring delivery on schedule and within budget.
Develop project execution plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Review project contracts, scopes of work, and change orders.
Ensure compliance with client requirements, company standards, and applicable regulations.
Financial & Budget Management
Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
Track project profitability and financial performance.
Review invoices, purchase orders, subcontract agreements, and project expenditures.
Identify and manage risks that may impact project costs or schedules.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Coordinate with engineering, estimating, field operations, procurement, and construction teams.
Manage subcontractors, vendors, and consultants throughout project execution.
Support procurement activities and material delivery schedules.
Ensure alignment between project objectives and operational execution.
Documentation & Communication
Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, schedules, meeting minutes, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
Prepare project reports and presentations for clients and leadership.
Lead project meetings and distribute agendas and meeting summaries.
Ensure proper project closeout documentation and turnover requirements are completed.
Leadership & Team Development
Provide leadership and guidance to project team members.
Promote collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Support workload planning and resource coordination across multiple projects.
Mentor junior project engineers and project coordinators as appropriate.

Education & Credentials
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, or a related field preferred.

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
Experience
5+ years of project management experience in mechanical construction, MEP, industrial, or related engineering environments.
Proven experience managing multiple simultaneous projects and client relationships.
Experience with project budgeting, forecasting, contract administration, and change management.
Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary project teams.
Technical & Professional Skills
Strong knowledge of project management principles, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
Working knowledge of mechanical systems, construction processes, and industry best practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Procore, Bluebeam, or similar project management software.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Compensation
Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus. Bonus eligibility and payout are determined by role, individual performance, and company performance, and are not guaranteed.
Additional Information
Occasional travel to client sites and project locations may be required.
This position may involve field visits, coordination with construction teams, and participation in on-site meetings.
Other duties may be assigned as needed to support project delivery and business objectives.
