Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Manager.

The Project Manager, Outreach & Education will lead and coordinate community-based outreach, educational programming, communications, and special initiatives that support IEHE goals. This role is responsible for managing projects from initiation through execution, overseeing outreach and education efforts for community partners, research activities, and supporting internal and external engagement activities. The Project Manager will collaborate across departments, manage timelines and budgets, coordinate events, and develop communications and educational materials that strengthen visibility, impact, and mission alignment.

Job Responsibilities:

Project Management
  • Develop and implement project management systems to improve workflow, track progress, and ensure timely completion of assigned initiatives.
  • Manage project initiation, prioritization, timelines, meeting notes, milestones, deliverables, and follow-up across outreach, education, communications, and special projects.
  • Recommend and support process improvements to enhance project execution and operational efficiency
  • Provide additional support during high-volume periods, including budget season, regulatory visits, or major institutional initiative

Community Outreach & Education
  • Support the planning, coordination, and implementation of community outreach events, including health fairs, screenings, lectures, workshops, and educational programs for patients, families, and community audiences.
  • Develop new outreach and education initiatives to expand community engagement and increase awareness of organizational programs and services.
  • Partner with faculty, staff, and affiliated institutions to design and deliver educational programming related to prevention, treatment, research, and wellness.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, institutional partners, and external stakeholders to strengthen outreach efforts and collaborative opportunities.

Events & Special Programs
  • Organize and coordinate department-wide events and programs focused on faculty, staff, trainee, patient, and community engagement.
  • Support community partnerships, outreach events, and special programs through logistics coordination, materials development, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Coordinate conference and event preparation activities, including scheduling, venue logistics, technical support, catering, materials, and on-site execution.
  • Oversee consultants, volunteers, project staff, or other personnel involved in outreach and event initiatives as appropriate.

Communications & Digital Content
  • Design, prepare, and disseminate communications across multiple channels, including announcements, newsletters, updates, presentations, social media, and web content.
  • Develop clear, audience-appropriate written and digital materials and reports to support outreach, education, and public awareness efforts.
  • Coordinate and maintain website content related to outreach, education, programs, and events, including innovative digital and interactive content.
  • Serve as liaison with internal communications, marketing, public affairs, and approved external vendors to ensure high-quality, brand-aligned materials.
  • Maintain digital assets, communications templates, and departmental distribution lists; proofread production files prior to release.

Budget & Administrative Oversight
  • Assist with developing, monitoring, and managing project and program budgets, including tracking expenses and preparing reports for leadership.
  • Scope and monitor creative, programmatic, and event-related budgets and adjust as needed with management approval.
  • Maintain schedules, records, and administrative tools needed for successful program implementation.


Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelors degree or equivalent in health care administration or related discipline.
2. Minimum of four years progressively responsible related experience coordinating clinical/research trials studies.
3. Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as World, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook. Familiar with Internet applications.
4. Effective verbal and written communication skills, and strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers. Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently.
6. Commitment to continuous learning as required by department administration.
7. Ability to make decisions independently.
8. Ability to manage time, multi task and prioritize work.
9. Strong understanding and knowledge base of coordination requirements associated with clinical/research trials.
10. Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems; ability to work well under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree in a related field such as Health/Public Administration, Business, Finance, Marketing, Communications, or Education.
Experience developing community-based programming, educational initiatives, and public-facing communications.
Familiarity with website content management, digital communications, social media, and creative project coordination.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and sound judgment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other office, database, and project management systems

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $70,481.61 - $121,580.64 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
