IntePros is actively seeking an experienced
Project Manager - Engineering to support a leading medical device organization in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role will be responsible for managing multiple engineering projects from planning through execution, ensuring projects remain on schedule, within scope, and aligned with organizational priorities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering project management background, experience working within the
medical device or another highly regulated industry, and the ability to independently lead cross-functional initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously, prioritizing activities and resources to meet project objectives and deadlines.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor project plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
- Coordinate engineering resources and assign project responsibilities to ensure effective utilization of team resources.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying risks, operational challenges, and potential delays.
- Lead efforts to resolve project issues and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
- Evaluate and manage changes that may significantly impact project scope, budget, schedule, or deliverables.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and technical teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Manage relationships with external contractors and service providers, ensuring work is completed according to established quality and performance standards.
- Communicate project status, risks, milestones, and key decisions to relevant stakeholders.
- Apply sound professional judgment and technical expertise when evaluating project issues and determining appropriate solutions.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and accountability.
- Ensure projects are executed in accordance with applicable quality, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline required.
- 4+ years of project management experience within the medical device industry or another highly regulated environment.
- Experience leading engineering projects involving cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, resource management, and risk mitigation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and meet project deadlines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to independently evaluate information, make sound decisions, and resolve project-related challenges.
- Experience managing external contractors or engineering service providers is preferred.
- PMP certification preferred.
