Description: The Senior Information Technology Project Manager plans, directs, and monitors complex IT projects under the direction of a Manager, Director, or other senior leader. This position determines user needs, establishes priorities, manages project schedules and budgets, and coordinates resources across multiple enterprise locations
The Senior Project Manager oversees projects from planning through implementation, including requirements gathering, design, testing, training, change management, and go-live support. This position also maintains project documentation, manages risks and dependencies, reports critical-path progress, and provides regular status updates to executive leadership and steering committees.
What You Will Do: - Lead and manage multiple complex, enterprise-wide IT projects from initiation through implementation.
- Follow established PMO and PPMO methodologies, policies, processes, and documentation requirements.
- Create and manage project scope, schedules, resources, budgets, and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain project charters, project plans, budget trackers, RACI charts, weekly status reports, steering committee materials, presentations, GLRA documentation, and change-management materials.
- nalyze business requirements, vendor statements of work, and other requirements documentation to define project deliverables and artifacts.
- Establish critical-path milestones and regularly report project status, risks, accomplishments, and dependencies to executive leadership.
- Identify project risks and dependencies in advance and work with stakeholders to develop and monitor mitigation plans.
- Facilitate project kickoffs, planning sessions, and design sessions with leadership, vendors, resources, and other stakeholders.
- Clearly define project scope, including in-scope and out-of-scope requirements.
- Coordinate and participate in analysis, design, coding, testing, training, and implementation activities.
- Ensure system changes are fully tested and users are trained and prepared before implementation.
- Coordinate with Information Systems Training teams and vendors to develop and maintain programming, system operations, and user documentation.
- Translate business specifications into user-support documentation, including online help resources.
- Validate user competency before system go-live or major system changes.
- Ensure super-users or other support personnel are available at go-live and that succession plans are documented.
- Maintain complete and accurate project documentation for internal and external audits.
- Provide oversight, mentoring, and guidance to Project Coordinators, Project Manager I, and Project Manager II team members.
- Maintain a high level of quality across project deliverables, implementation, and customer experience.

What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant experience in an Information Systems environment.
- t least six years of experience working on information technology project teams, gathering customer requirements, and performing related analysis activities.
- Experience managing projects of small to medium scope and complexity.
- Clinical project implementation and management experience.
- Experience working in a large, multi-hospital system is preferred.
- Epic or Meditech experience is preferred.
- clinical education background is preferred.
- Project Management Institute certification is strongly preferred.
