Full Job Description
Job Summary:

The Project Manager (II) ensures the installation of DI equipment and execution of EPC projects are completed safely, on time, on budget, and within project specifications. This role includes project initiation, production/procurement oversight, budget control, schedule control, and project closeout. Additionally, PM II leads strategic initiatives, mentors junior staff, and manages high-value, multi-disciplinary projects.

Minimum Qualifications: (Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills):

  • BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field AND 6+ years of experience in energy or construction industries. Or a minimum of a High School Diploma with 8+ years of experience in construction, energy industries would be considered.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with budgets exceeding $15M.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification required.
  • Knowledge of permitting processes and environmental compliance standards.
  • Experience coordinating utility interconnection requirements and regulatory approvals.
  • Demonstrated success in mentoring junior project managers or coordinators.
  • Advanced proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore).
  • Experience in risk/change management and mitigation planning.
  • Strong financial acumen including forecasting, cost control, and variance analysis.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain safe and healthy work sites by following company standards and legal requirements.
  • Lead complex, multi-phase projects with strategic importance.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement risk management plans and contingency strategies.
  • Oversee project portfolio performance metrics and report to senior leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across project execution processes.
  • Lead post-project reviews and lessons-learned sessions.
  • Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals and client presentations.
  • Mentor and coach Project/Construction Manager I-level staff.
  • Collaborate with finance and operations to optimize resource allocation.
  • Lead permitting and interconnection coordination with utilities and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental mitigation measures and safety regulations.
  • Manage subcontractor selection, scope definition, and performance tracking.
  • Oversee RFIs, change orders, and close-out packages.
  • Maintain project documentation using Procore and other PM tools.


Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Travel required (50%+); must be willing and able to drive a company vehicle and/or fly commercially.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for 3-4 hours at a time.
  • Exposure to sitting for extended periods, varying climates, noise levels, energized electrical equipment, overhead hazards, and heavy machinery.
