The Data Coordinating Center (DCC) is a multidisciplinary team that supports complex, multi-site clinical research and collaborative learning networks across Seattle Children's Research Institute and external partners. Our team specializes in the design, coordination, and operational management of multicenter clinical studies, providing expertise in project management, data coordination, regulatory oversight, and research infrastructure. In addition to traditional clinical research, the DCC plays a key role in advancing Learning Health Systems and quality improvement (QI) initiatives, helping clinical networks use real-world data to continuously improve patient care and outcomes. We work closely with investigators, clinicians, and national collaborators to translate data into actionable insights that accelerate discovery and improve the health of children.

SERIES CONCEPT: A project is a temporary endeavor undertaken to create a unique product, service or result. A project is temporary in that it has a defined beginning and end in time, and therefore defined scope and resources. And a project is unique in that it is not a routine operation, but a specific set of operations designed to accomplish a singular goal. So, a project team often includes people who don't usually work together - sometimes from different functional areas and across multiple geographies.
