Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced
Project Manager with Healthcare project experience. In this position you will lead all phases of medium to large projects from planning through construction. This role oversees budgeting, scheduling, design development, specifications, and construction documents, while maintaining strong client relationships and resolving architectural challenges. The Project Manager directs and monitors project activities and serves as primary client contact.
This position is located in HMC's
Los Angeles, California office. The position requires 3 days in the office and the ability to work from home Mondays and Fridays.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage all phases of architectural projects, including scope, schedule, budget, staffing, and billing
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, agencies, consultants, and stakeholders
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate project team members; delegate work and provide performance feedback
- Prepare and manage work plans, schedules, staffing projections, and project fees
- Oversee design development, construction documents, specifications, and construction administration
- Ensure design intent, quality, code compliance, and coordination across all project deliverables
- Write and review project correspondence, RFIs, change orders, contracts, and meeting documentation
- Coordinate with agencies to resolve plan check and approval issues
- Review cost estimates, conduct value analysis, and manage project changes
- Participate in marketing efforts, proposals, and client interviews
Requirements- Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited university or equivalent experience
- Minimum 7 years of experience in architectural practice, including project management
- Strong understanding of contractual obligations, project fees, and budget management
- Proven ability to lead teams, delegate effectively, and make sound decisions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience managing consultants, agencies, and client relationships
- Ability to write and edit specifications and oversee construction documentation
- Highly organized, self-directed, and capable of managing multiple priorities
The salary range for this position is $85,065 - $127,281.
The actual salary offered for this position will vary depending on multiple factors including the candidate's qualification, education, position knowledge, work experience, skills, ability, work location, and internal incumbent compensation for similar roles. We do not anticipate individuals hired into this position will start at or near the top half of the range listed; the decision will be based on each individual case. The salary range listed above does not include other compensation elements such as discretionary bonus opportunities, employee stock ownership grants, paid time off, medical insurance, and other wage and benefit opportunities.
