Project Manager - Asphalt Paving OperationsFargo, ND | Border States Paving, Inc.This is a hands-on position working directly with DOT highway projects, paving crews, plant production, trucking, and materials. What You'll Do- Manage day-to-day project activities for highway paving operations
- Coordinate paving crews, plant production, trucking, and materials
- Communicate directly with DOT personnel regarding project details
- Maintain accurate project records and weekly work certifications
- Work with project personnel to resolve issues and find practical solutions
- Monitor project progress and help keep work on schedule
- Follow and enforce project and company safety requirements
- Work closely with the Operations Manager and field personnel
What We're Looking For- Experience in highway construction, asphalt paving, materials production, or engineering preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented and self-directed
- Good math and computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- HCSS Heavy Bid/Heavy Job experience preferred, but not required
- Mechanical aptitude and a good driving record
- Ability to work well with others, learn on the job, and follow directions
Extensive summer travel is required, as this is a road-based position.
