HGA is seeking an experienced
Project Manager to support a portfolio of combined cycle (CT/CCGT) power generation projects in
West Texas. This will provide critical oversight on multiple projects for an expected duration of 3 years, currently spanning engineering and construction phases, ensuring alignment with project objectives, schedules, and budgets. The selected candidate will act as a key interface between the Owner and EPC contractor, delivering technical and project management expertise across all project stages.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Owner's Engineer (OE) support across a portfolio of 5 combined cycle projects
- Oversee project execution in Gaines County, TX
- Support Owner in coordination with EPC contractor
- Lead or support project management (PM) and construction management (CM) activities, cost controls and forecasting, and schedule development, tracking, and reporting
- Conduct and support engineering design reviews and technical evaluations and constructability assessments
- Manage and evaluate change control processes and risk identification and mitigation strategies
- Provide regular reporting on project performance, risks, and key milestones
- Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards
Qualifications & Requirements- 10-15+ years of experience working as a Project Manager supporting projects worth approx. $500m
- Previous power plant experience required. Proven experience supporting combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) or simple cycle (CT) generation projects a must!
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Owner's Engineer (OE) roles or equivalent
- Project management and construction oversight
- Cost and schedule controls
- Ability to work across multiple project sites and phases simultaneously
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Candidates with relevant experience in petrochemical or similar large-scale industrial projects may be considered.
- On-site support role with travel to project locations
