ResponsibilitiesReporting to a Construction Manager, the responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Project Planning and Execution
- Understand our client's needs and the scope of the project.
- Estimate resources needed to complete projects.
- Oversee CPM, 3 Week, and 9 Day schedules.
- Pre-costing activities of work.
- Manage the cost report, AR and AP aspect of assigned projects.
Team Management
- Manage one or more direct reports.
Safety Management
- Conduct site safety surveys to evaluate safety program implementation.
- Monitor subcontractor safety performance to ensure Cal-OSHA compliance.
- Implement and enforce company and client safety policies.
Additional Responsibilities
- Other duties as directed by the Construction Manager.
RequirementsPreferred Qualifications- Undergraduate degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience managing civil engineering projects and jobsite safety.
- Able to read and understand Plans and Specifications.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Plan Grid and scheduling software. Ability to learn new programs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to communicate with internal and external personnel of all levels. Capable of negotiating with clients.
