POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

Position: Project Manager

Department: Healthcare

POSITION OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Project Manager plays a key role in the successful management of projects. This individual will provide technical and business leadership, as well as oversight to ensure the successful delivery of work to our customers. The Project Manager is responsible for a high level of customer satisfaction by ensuring expectations are clearly communicated and managed - both externally and internally. The successful candidate will also create a dynamic team environment by mentoring and coaching colleagues and fostering a highly collaborative working environment. This person will also actively support the business development process, through the writing of proposals and meeting with prospective and current customers, thereby clearly articulating KFI's value proposition and unique differentiators.

Specific responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
  • Oversee projects in the department to assure that KFI quality, customer satisfaction and financial objectives are met.
  • Actively manages assigned projects, driving them to completion. This will require a combination of strong delegation and follow-up, combined with personal execution of work as needed.
  • Allocates department resources to assure effective utilization and development of staff.
  • Ensures that new opportunities are properly defined and scoped. Actively contributes to all aspects of the business development process (i.e., proposals and customer meetings).
  • Ensures the development and coaching of the talent needed to meet current and future organization goals.
  • Reviews invoices, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of billing activity.
  • Drives cross functional coordination (both internal and external); including meeting management, schedule coordination, maintains project decisions and action log, and ensures timely follow up.
  • Responsible for project documentation, including, but not limited to, initial project set up, master engineering deliverable list, project monthly reporting (KPI's), and engineering code compliance.
  • Oversees the project document control process within KFI standards by utilizing the Project Coordinators to maintain the master deliverable list and other project documents.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Construction Management, degree in a related field OR equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 10+ years of project leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects related to healthcare facilities.
  • Strong working knowledge of design and construction processes, building systems, contract management and project delivery methods.
  • A basic understanding of Architectural, Electrical, Civil and Structural Engineering construction practices.
  • Superior project management skills and knowledge of related tools and processes.
  • Expert knowledge of technology and the application of technology in business.
  • Proven ability to build strong client relationships and establish credibility.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Effectively presents complex information to employees, management, and clients at all levels.
  • Skilled at synthesizing ideas into actionable recommendations and positively influencing outcomes.
  • Strong planning, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Travel: May include up to 25% domestic travel.
