Full Job Description
Project Manager

Further is looking for a Project Manager to independently own mid-sized client projects from kickoff through delivery. You'll build the plan, lead the team, manage the budget, and serve as the primary operational point of contact for the client.

This is a hands-on delivery role. You'll be the person who keeps a project clear, predictable, and low-friction - anticipating issues before they become escalations, protecting scope and quality, and giving clients confidence that the work is under control.
What You'll Do
  • Plan and execute. Create and manage the detailed project plan - defining scope, building the schedule, securing resources, and managing the budget from kickoff through final delivery.
  • Manage the project team. Run the day-to-day: assign tasks, clarify responsibilities, remove roadblocks, and make sure every team member is clear on their role and what's expected of them.
  • Own client communication. Serve as the primary operational contact for the client, providing clear and consistent updates on status, tracking progress against milestones, and managing expectations throughout the engagement.
  • Manage risk proactively. Identify, document, and mitigate project-level risks and issues. Develop mitigation plans and escalate critical issues to the Program Manager or Practice Lead when needed.
  • Own delivery quality. Accountable for delivery process, quality control, and deliverable readiness - ensuring the team's work meets SOW requirements and Further's standards for excellence.
  • Improve how we work. Adhere to firm-wide PM standards and contribute practical improvements to templates, processes, and ways of working that benefit other projects.
What You'll Bring
  • Experience. 5+ years managing projects end to end, ideally in a client services, consulting, or agency environment. [PMP, CSM, PSA or equivalent certification a plus.]
  • PM tooling expertise. Hands-on command of project management software (Jira, Smartsheet, Asana) for task management, resource allocation, and reporting.
  • Professional Services Automation software experience (contada/mavenlink, certinia, hubspot, box).
  • Project management methodologies. Deep proficiency in formal frameworks (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and the judgment to select and apply the right approach for the project at hand.
  • Experience managing scope, schedule, and budget control with real skill in financial tracking, resource planning, and scope control to prevent creep.
  • Task and dependency planning. The ability to break complex deliverables into manageable tasks, sequence them logically, and manage dependencies into a realistic, achievable timeline.
  • Clear, concise communication. Comfort with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You run efficient meetings, facilitate hard conversations, and write status reports that build client confidence.

Our total rewards program is designed for your protection, peace of mind, and overall well-being. In addition to our outstanding basics, we offer a net-zero cost medical option, company contributions to your HSA, fertility support, fully-paid parental leave, a monthly stipend for your lifestyle spending account, and much more.
