Title: Project Manager - Service Delivery

Location: Atlanta, GA Irving, TX

Work style: Office based

The NCR Project Manager (PM) is responsible for planning, defining, and delivering projects. The PM designs the project goals and success markers to determine how success will be measured and tracked. The PM ensures the project remains on time, on budget, and helps motivate team members to hit their goals. The Project Manager also acts as a liaison between the project team and upper-level management. The PM prepares and presents progress reports and ensures the project is furthering organizational goals. Most importantly, the PM assures effective communications between and amongst all project stakeholders (internal and external).

Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility
  • Completes or tracks completion of project tasks; escalates assignment conflicts and issues
  • Works with PS Technical Leader and Team Leaders to generate estimates as well as SOWs and CRs for future project work
  • Manages the Change Control Process
  • Adheres to the NCR Project Management and Solution Delivery Methodology
  • Enforces NCR Global PMO Processes
  • Creates and manages the PS delivery project plan including detailed Work-Breakdown-Structures for all tasks and activities
  • Escalates poor team performance to PS management team
  • Prepares weekly (or at the frequency requested) client status reports
  • Holds weekly project status update meetings with the Client's Project Manager
  • Provides weekly internal project status reports to PS Partner, Client Partner and Regional PMO (if required) outlining activities performed and planned, as well as dependencies and risks
  • Tracks and documents project lessons learned
  • Works with the Project Coordinator (if applicable) to develop the data elements and reports needed to help manage project performance
  • Manages PSA project reporting for assigned projects
  • Has an in-depth understanding of all elements impacting the project budget
  • Identifies and manages Risks, Defects and Issues
  • Regularly monitors assigned project status and completion against schedule and budget
  • Secures on-time acceptance of Project Deliverables by the Client, manage revenue recognition and forecasting


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Project Management Certification required (PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in a fee-for-service professional services environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Self-directed, self-motivated
  • Good at managing multiple tasks and deliverables simultaneously
  • Superior written and verbal communications skills
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree - preferably in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related field, Project Management or equivalent in a business-related discipline


Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working within a professional services organization
  • NCR Domain experience (Banking, Hospitality, Retail, Technology & Telecommunications)
  • Software Delivery Life-Cycle (SDLC) knowledge for planning and support of the development and testing efforts
