Work Location: Portland, ORHOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT:Coordinates all aspects of project(s) from initiation through close. Organizes cross-functional activities, ensuring successful completion of projects. This position manages people and other resources indirectly across functional disciplines as part of cross-functional team.
THE DETAILS:Project Management- Lead manufacturing network optimization projects using scope-appropriate methods, including transfers among operations and suppliers
- Define scope, communications, risk mitigation, timelines, dependencies, and constraints
- Meet milestones and objectives by coordinating cross-functional, internal, and external resources
- Partner with Manufacturing, SIOP, and Procurement to optimize the global network and coordinate international tooling and equipment transfers
- Manage schedule, scope, and cost changes; assess portfolio impact; and report progress to stakeholders
- Lead change management for cross-site resourcing projects and conduct post-project lessons learned
- Develop and facilitate global project best practices while training and coaching sub-project managers and team members
Communication- Communicate clearly in writing and verbally across all organizational levels and global teams, translating technical concepts for nontechnical audiences
- Develop and deliver proposals, presentations, and regular progress reports to teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership
Education:- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business or related field, or equivalent experience obtained on the job
- 5 years proven project/program management experience with formal project management methodology
- Minimum 5 years' experience working in a Manufacturing operation
- Experience working with and leading cross functional teams
- Experience managing in a global environment, requiring strong communication in a cross functional /cross cultural environment where English is a second language
- Must have excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and public speaking with ability to express oneself clearly and in technical and non-technical terms
- Excellent project management skills
- Ability to lead cross functional project teams without direct supervision
- Demonstrated ability to drive projects through to completion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ERP/data management software (SAP preferred)
Availability:- Available to work on site as required by job; eligible for domestic and international travel as required including several times per year for two weeks duration.
At Oregon Tool, we provide a reasonable, good-faith estimate of the compensation range for this role of $87,000 to 105,000. Final offers are based on various factors such as experience, skills, qualifications and internal equity. This range may vary based on geographic location where the position is filled, and most new hires are not typically hired at the top of the range.
