Project Manager, Digital Adoption & User Enablement

Location: Fully Remote/Full Time

The Project Manager/Digital Adoption Developer will lead the planning, delivery, governance, and continuous improvement of an in-application guidance and training solution used across multiple enterprise applications for a global pharmaceutical client. This role combines project management, stakeholder engagement, change enablement, and the hands-on development of in-application guidance, including walkthroughs, tooltips, contextual help, and embedded training experiences.

The successful candidate will serve as both the program lead and a hands-on developer, using the client's selected platform to design, build, test, deploy, maintain, and optimize in-application guidance. Working closely with business stakeholders, solution teams, change managers, training teams, and technical resources, this individual will create user-centric guidance that improves adoption, efficiency, compliance, and overall user experience.

This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys balancing strategic program leadership with hands-on content development and execution.

Program & Project Management:
  • Lead the In-Application Guidance Program roadmap, priorities, release planning, and ongoing enhancement activities.
  • Manage project plans, timelines, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.
  • Facilitate meetings with business owners, solution teams, developers, and deployment leads.
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts related to digital adoption and user enablement initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain governance processes for in-application guidance content development, deployment, and support.
  • Manage intake, prioritization, tracking, and reporting of enhancement requests and user feedback.
  • Support capacity planning and workload forecasting for in-application guidance development and maintenance activities.

In-Application Guidance Development & Maintenance:
  • Design, build, test, publish, and maintain in-application guidance and training content, including walkthroughs, tooltips, contextual help, and embedded learning experiences.
  • Perform impact assessments on upcoming system releases and identify required updates to in-application guidance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve in-application guidance and platform-related issues in partnership with technical teams.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing and quality reviews prior to deployment.
  • Maintain configuration, testing, validation, and change control documentation.

Digital Adoption & User Experience:
  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify user pain points and opportunities to improve guidance and user support.
  • Develop user-centered guidance strategies that improve productivity, compliance, and user confidence.
  • Translate complex business processes into intuitive in-application guidance experiences.
  • Gather and analyze user feedback and usage insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Create and maintain self-service resources, FAQs, and support materials.

Communications & Content Management:
  • Manage and enhance the In-Application Guidance Program SharePoint presence and supporting communications materials.
  • Develop adoption campaigns, newsletters, promotional materials, and user awareness content.
  • Partner with communications and training teams to align messaging and user support resources.
  • Maintain content libraries, screenshots, videos, and supporting documentation.

Analytics & Continuous Improvement:
  • Monitor performance metrics and adoption trends for the in-application guidance solution.
  • Analyze user engagement data and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Develop recommendations to improve user experience and business value realization.
  • Produce program status reports and executive-ready updates.

Qualifications:
  • Background - Agile Scrum and IT digital project management. Extensive background implementing key project deliverables.
  • Experience - Developing user-facing guidance, training content, performance support materials, or digital adoption assets.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Agile backlog & project management planning tools; Advanced Excel / data reporting tools.
    • Experience configuring and maintaining digital adoption, workflow guidance, or user enablement platforms.
    • Certifications: PMP and/or similar qualifications.
    • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Digital adoption platform certification.
  • Experience supporting regulated environments such as Quality, Manufacturing, GMP, Compliance, or Validation.
  • Experience with SharePoint, Planner, and Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Experience with change management, user adoption, training, or communications.
  • Familiarity with release management, change control, and testing processes.
  • Experience working with global teams and enterprise-scale deployments.

Required Start Time: Daily start time of 8 a.m. US-ET is required due to national and international operations.
