Position SummaryThis role focuses on the Real Estate category with an emphasis on construction procurement. Reporting directly to the lead of the sourcing category for Real Estate, Facilities, and Corporate Services, this position plays a pivotal part in supporting a global portfolio of renovation and construction projects valued at over $100 million. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership, including the global head of corporate real estate and their team, to drive strategic sourcing, contracting, and project execution in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities - Partner with the Construction Project Management team and Sourcing Category Director to support the worldwide construction sourcing operations across North America, EMEA, and APAC regions.
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify vendors-including general contractors, carpenters, electricians, and other trades-ensuring they possess the relevant skills, certifications, and experience required for construction projects.
- Lead end-to-end contracting processes for construction initiatives of varying size and complexity, managing RFPs, bidder strategies, commercial evaluations, and negotiations.
- Manage complex contractual agreements such as construction contracts aligned with industry standards, local country agreements, Master Purchase Agreements, Master Services Agreements, amendments, and project-specific contracts.
- Support large-scale facilities projects, including renovations, workplace transformations, and capital improvements.
- Standardize contracting approaches and supplier frameworks across global vendors, service providers, architects, contractors, and consulting firms to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Oversee contract governance, including template standardization, clause management, lifecycle compliance, and audit requirements for construction sourcing activities.
- Utilize contract lifecycle management tools such as Sirion Labs, Ivalua, and Oracle to track, manage, and optimize contractual agreements.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders in Construction, Facilities, Legal, and Finance, aligning commercial strategies with project and corporate objectives.
- Drive measurable value by mitigating risks, optimizing project scope, improving contract performance visibility, achieving cost savings, and leveraging analytics and digital tools.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in construction contracting, sourcing via RFI and RFP processes, and commercial negotiations, particularly with AIA-based agreements for capital projects exceeding $5 million.
- Proven experience managing global construction programs and stakeholder engagement across multiple regions, including North America, EMEA, and APAC.
- Deep familiarity with AIA contract structures, supplementary conditions, and various construction delivery models.
- Extensive knowledge of facilities and capital project sourcing processes.
- Experience working with major global facilities and construction management firms such as JLL, Cushman & Wakefield, or CBRE.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and foster alignment across diverse teams.
- Proficiency in contract lifecycle management and procurement tools such as Sirion, Ivalua, and Oracle.
- Strong analytical skills and adaptability to operate effectively within a fast-paced, high-volume international environment.
Preferred Qualifications - Advanced degrees or certifications related to project management, procurement, or construction.
- Certification or involvement in structured enterprise problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, DMAIC, or equivalent frameworks).
- Experience managing large-scale renovation, transformation, or large construction portfolios across multiple regions.
- Well-developed communication skills with an ability to build consensus among senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
