About the Position

The Project Manager will lead and manage commercial and industrial concrete construction projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.

This position requires a strong understanding of concrete construction methods, materials, scheduling, estimating, and field operations. The Project Manager will work closely with field crews, subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and internal leadership to coordinate all aspects of project delivery.

Reporting to the Vice President of the Concrete Division, this individual will play a key role in planning projects, managing resources, controlling costs, and maintaining strong relationships with project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management
  • Lead the planning and execution of concrete construction projects, including sitework, foundations, slabs, tilt-up construction, and structural concrete components.
  • Manage projects from preconstruction and bidding through completion and closeout.
  • Coordinate field operations, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and adjust resources as needed to meet critical milestones.
  • Conduct regular job site visits to monitor progress, safety, quality, and adherence to project plans.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and field personnel.

Safety & Quality
  • Ensure compliance with company safety programs and applicable OSHA standards.
  • Participate in safety meetings, job hazard analyses, and site inspections.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety and accountability among field crews, subcontractors, and project partners.
  • Monitor concrete construction activities to ensure work meets project specifications and company quality standards.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial or industrial concrete construction.
  • Proven experience successfully managing concrete construction projects from bid through closeout.
  • Strong understanding of concrete construction methods, materials, sequencing, and field operations.
  • Experience with foundations, slabs, sitework, tilt-up construction, and/or structural concrete is preferred.
  • Strong project scheduling, cost control, and subcontractor coordination skills.
  • Ability to solicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and project documents.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
