Your Role 

We’re looking for a Project Manager who is seeking the right opportunity to leverage their skills in the municipal and transit infrastructure services sector of our Toronto business unit. You bring previous experience leading projects varying in scope and complexity in the delivery of municipal and private development infrastructure and/or transit projects including light rail, heavy rail, utilities, streetscapes, developments, and other infrastructure projects. 

You will be at the forefront of ensuring your projects not only meet but exceed client expectations, while having a knack for building strong and trusting client relationships. 

Your ability to oversee multiple projects through the entire project lifecycle will be key in driving these projects to success, from identifying and addressing gaps to controlling costs and ensuring clear, effective communication. 

• Develop strong client relationships and act as the client’s single point of contact throughout the project to achieve the client’s goals and objectives 

• Lead programs of work and large capital projects, varying in size and scope 

• Manage all stakeholders including both clients and consultants 

• Ensure that client expectations and satisfaction are met or exceeded on all projects and the client’s best interests are represented with respect to contractual and technical issues 

• Regularly report to the client on project status by means of schedule updates, meeting minutes, financial records and other reports 

• Manage project staff allocated to your projects, peer reviewing their deliverables and continuously developing their knowledge and capabilities 

• Chair client, project and site meetings, find resolution to issues and coordinate between multiple stakeholders 

•  Maintain contact with existing and prospective clients and respond to business development and sales opportunities with support from the Business Development Team, Team Lead or Principal

• A university degree or diploma in landscape architecture (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience) 

• 5 - 8 years of project management experience, representing owners in the delivery of transit, utility, infrastructure and development projects 

• Familiarity with the design process, value engineering, and approvals necessary to proceed with construction in a municipal setting 

• Strong understanding of best practice Project Management methodologies and procedures within a PMO environment 

• Effective client and stakeholder management matched with the ability to effectively influence others and successfully resolve a variety of client and technical issues. 

• Detail oriented leader with the ability to work in a process driven environment. 

• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills. 

• Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project), word processing (Word) and spreadsheet (Excel) software applications 

• OALA, P.Eng or PMP designations are an asset 

• A positive attitude and the ability to collaborate with local and regional teams 

• Ability to travel to client offices and site to conduct project responsibilities and tasks 

 Expected Compensation: $72,158– $103,993 per year (CAD) 

This compensation range represents our good-faith estimate at the time of posting, based on market benchmarks and internal equity. Final compensation will be determined considering the candidate’s skills, experience, qualifications and regional consideration. Annual bonus opportunities are in addition to base salary.
