Project Manager | Civil Engineering (Water Infrastructure)

As our Project Manager on our Engineering team in South Jordan, UT (Salt Lake City area), you will lead the planning, design, and delivery of critical water, wastewater, and recycled water projects that support growing communities throughout the Wasatch Front. In this strategic role, you will oversee multidisciplinary teams, drive project success, and help strengthen Psomas' presence in the region through technical excellence and client partnerships.

What You'll Do

As a Project Manager, you will provide technical leadership and project oversight for water infrastructure projects while supporting business development and mentoring the next generation of engineers.
  • Project Delivery: Lead all phases of water, wastewater, and recycled water infrastructure projects from planning through construction.
  • Technical Leadership: Review engineering plans, specifications, reports, and provide quality oversight for project teams.
  • Project Management: Manage staffing, budgets, schedules, cost estimating, and overall project performance.
  • Business Development: Support client relationships, pursuit planning, and proposal development efforts.
  • Contract Administration: Ensure projects meet scope, schedule, and budget objectives while maintaining contract requirements.
  • Team Development: Supervise, mentor, and develop engineers and technical staff.
  • Client Partnerships: Collaborate with municipalities, agencies, and stakeholders to deliver successful infrastructure solutions.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Utah.
  • 10+ years of experience managing water infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated success delivering water and wastewater projects throughout the Wasatch Front region.
  • Experience with pump stations, large-diameter pipelines, water production wells, flow control facilities, and reservoirs.
  • Experience supervising engineers and designers.
  • Strong knowledge of technical specifications, engineer's estimates, scheduling, and proposal development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with master planning and hydraulic modeling.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bluebeam Revu, and related engineering software.
  • Strong business development, team leadership, and operational management skills.
