As a Project Manager at MacKay, you9ll play a critical role in ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and on budget. You9ll oversee multiple aspects of project delivery while working closely with operations teams, field crews, subcontractors, clients, and leadership.

Your leadership will directly contribute to the successful execution of civil construction and mining projects that shape communities across the region.
What You9ll Get to Do
- Lead projects from pre-construction planning through final completion
- Perform site visits, project walk-throughs, and assist with bid preparation and project startup planning
- Coordinate mobilization, permitting, procurement, scheduling, and project logistics
- Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost tracking, invoicing, and reporting
- Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and project stakeholders
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contract specifications
- Support and collaborate with Superintendents, Foremen, and field operations teams
- Manage project schedules and proactively identify risks or delays
- Prepare and maintain project documentation including contracts, change orders, drawings, and reports
- Lead project meetings and maintain strong communication with clients and stakeholders
- Ensure project management systems and documentation remain accurate and up to date
- Participate in safety meetings, incident reviews, and hazard assessments

- Mentor and support team members while helping build a positive, high-performing culture

Who You Are

You9re highly organized, solutions-focused, and confident making decisions in fast-paced environments. Most importantly, you believe strong relationships, accountability, and teamwork are just as important as technical expertise.
You have:
- 3-10 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in civil construction or mining
- Experience managing projects from planning through completion
- Strong knowledge of construction operations, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
- The ability to build strong working relationships with clients, crews, subcontractors, and leadership
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Experience coordinating multiple priorities and managing competing deadlines
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software
- The ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts
- A valid Class 5 driver9s licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required
Even better if you have:
- Experience working in heavy civil construction environments
- Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with heavy equipment, earthworks, utilities, roadbuilding, or infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of project financials and forecasting
- Industry-specific certifications or safety training

This position is based out of our Cranbrook, BC office located at 1600A Theatre Road, with regular travel to project sites as required.
Typical hours are Monday to Friday; however, flexibility is required based on project and operational needs.
