HDR is looking for a project manager whose experience focuses on client development and delivery of large, complex projects. The ideal candidate should have a proven background in successfully delivering various Healthcare, Civic, Sports, Transportation, Aerospace, and/or Commercial Real Estate projects ranging from upfront planning and pre-design activities through detail design, construction support and commissioning. In addition to managing and delivery projects (which is the primary focus of this role), the successful candidate must possess the drive, experience and charisma needed to develop and secure work from a robust global client base and expand upon HDR's reputation within these markets. This individual will manage multi-disciplinary design teams from project conception to completion. Keen focus on organizational skills and follow-through are required to be successful in this role. This person will work closely with the Regional Building Engineering Services Business Group Managers as well as our global client management team. Some travel to client sites or other HDR offices is required. In the role of Project Manager, we'll count on you to: 34; Direct and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project's lifecycle (from development and initiation to close-out) 34; Responsible for all aspects of complex small to medium projects or routine large projects 34; Produce and coordinate several small to medium projects concurrently 34; Establish and maintain client relations, and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings 34; Conduct work sessions for deliverable development in conjunction with other staff and stakeholders 34; Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project life cycle, and ensure completion of deliverables on schedule 34; Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to budget and schedule 34; Work with the Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviews 34; Implement QA/QC procedures 34; Supervise large project staffs and act as mentor for less-experienced Project Managers 34; 10-20% Travel to project sites, including international if needed 34; Control project budget, scope, and schedule 34; Forecasting, Invoicing and contract management 34; Create vital proposal content including scope, schedule and budget 34; Perform other duties as needed Preferred Qualification 34; Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Newforma, Procore, BIM360 Docs, BIM360 Field, and Bluebeam 34; Demonstrated experience in working with multi-disciplined teams of Architects, Engineers, and Designers. 34; Professional Engineering (PE) license 34; PMP certification 34; Masters degree 34; Excellent organizational, project management, and communication (both written and verbal) skills. 34; Availability to frequently travel locally to project locations (~50%) and regional sites as needed ( 34; Active in area industry associations 34; Healthcare, Science and Technology, Data Center facilities, Aviation and other mass transportation facilities, and/or Aerospace experience 34; Preference given to local candidates #LI-MV3 Qualifications Required Qualifications 34; Bachelor's degree in Engineering 34; 7 years related experience 34; A minimum 2 years project management experience 34; Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered.
