Qualifications

• Civil Engineering Degree or Diploma, or equivalent training and experience.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a Project Manager, or relevant experience in civil construction as Project Coordinator or Engineer.
• Familiarity with City of Calgary project specifications.
• Experience in asphalt paving, concrete, earthworks, and underground construction.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding construction drawings and documents.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with effective organizational capabilities.
• Flexibility to work varied hours including evenings and weekends.
• Collaborative teamwork skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Responsibilities

• Lead adherence to Environmental, Health and Safety Management System.
• Develop, submit, and assess various project plans including Health and Safety and Quality Management.
• Interpret project estimates accurately.
• Read and comprehend contract drawings and specifications.
• Prepare work schedules and coordinate project staffing.
• Manage onsite crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and resources to complete projects.
• Inspect ongoing work to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules.
• Keep contracts updated with change orders.
• Track and understand pay quantities and cost reports on a regular basis.
• Chair meetings and facilitate discussions to achieve defined outcomes.
