Full Job Description
Project Management Specialist
The Opportunity:

Are you searching for a position where you can use your project management and analysis skills to develop a project from concept to completion? A program requires significant investment of limited resources and with that constraint, you will need to keep the project on a productive path. That's why we need you, a project management specialist who can help ensure success through careful analysis and effective communication.

On our team, you'll provide technical project management expertise while supporting a DoD client in its establishment and management of enterprise-wide Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) Information Technology (IT) products and services procurement vehicles. You'll work with client leadership to manage cost, schedule, and performance as well as support development and execution of CIO-level IT Asset Management (ITAM) policy. You'll also support Cybersecurity Supply Chain Risk Management (CSCRM) activities by reviewing cybersecurity and supplier-risk assessments, coordinating resolution of findings, and helping translate technical risk information into actionable recommendations for Government stakeholders.

In support of these efforts, you will be using tools like Microsoft Excel to analyze budgets and track information, collaborate to manage schedules, Microsoft Word to contribute to the development of contractual and other technical documents, and Microsoft PowerPoint to develop presentations. You'll review CSCRM reports and supporting documentation for completeness, consistency, and alignment with applicable DoD cybersecurity and supply-chain risk requirements, including supplier vetting, software and hardware provenance, SBOM/HBOM information, and documented risk mitigation actions. The real power of project management comes from communication to ensure the Government achieves its goals and meets our quality standards.

Work with us and help make sure our DoD acquisition programs accomplish their project goals within budget as we improve IT capabilities for the military.

You Have:
  • Experience supporting project schedules, task tracking, and action item management
  • Experience providing project or program management support in a government environment
  • Experience reviewing technical, cybersecurity, risk, compliance, or assessment documentation and identifying gaps, inconsistencies, findings, or required follow-up actions
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of CSCRM principles and practices, including NIST SP 800-161, NIST SP 800-171, DFARS cybersecurity requirements, supplier vetting, supply-chain mapping, software and hardware provenance, SBOM and HBOM review, vulnerability information, risk mitigation, and residual-risk tracking
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to assist in preparing reports, presentations, and documentation for leadership and stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate cybersecurity and supply-chain risk findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders and coordinate actions across Government, contractor, and vendor teams
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:
  • 2+ years of experience supporting cybersecurity risk management, CSCRM, third-party risk management, information assurance, or cybersecurity activities in a DoD or federal environment
  • Experience supporting enterprise software agreement implementation
  • Experience in optimizing acquisition of commercial off the shelf (COTS) IT hardware, software, and IT services
  • Experience with government contract executions including acquisition law and DFAR regulations
  • Experience in the development of Integrated Master Schedules, using Milestone Pro software suite, and using Microsoft project software suite
  • Experience reviewing cybersecurity assessments, supplier-risk reports, technical risk analyses, or compliance documentation for completeness, accuracy, supporting evidence, and alignment with applicable Government requirements
  • Possession of strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Possession of flexibility and adaptability skills for changing priorities and fast-paced environments
  • CompTIA Security+, ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC), Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), Certified Third-Party Risk Professional (CTPRP), or cybersecurity, information assurance, or third-party risk management Certification
