In this role, you will lead the execution of complex, high-value pipeline and compressor station projects, with accountability for project cost, schedule, scope, and performance. You will bring multidisciplinary teams together, navigate FERC regulatory and federal permitting requirements, and guide capital projects valued at more than $100 million from inception through closeout.

What You Will Do:
  • Lead integrated, cross-functional project teams and take accountability for the successful delivery of assigned capital projects.
  • Develop project execution strategies, resource plans, budgets, and scenarios that support business objectives and project requirements.
  • Manage project scope, cost, schedule, performance, change controls, and adherence to Project Life Cycle requirements.
  • Identify project risks, exposures, and opportunities, maintain project risk registers, and implement effective mitigation measures.
  • Coordinate regulatory filings, agency responses, project reporting, and external relationships associated with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and other permitting requirements.
  • Provide strategic leadership on project execution, contractor selection, commercial agreements, stakeholder communications, and lessons learned.

Who You Are:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, operations, or project management training and/or experience.
  • 7+ years of progressively responsible related experience, including at least five years in the pipeline industry and experience managing projects from inception through closeout. For candidates who do not possess a university degree, an additional 3-years of related experience is required (total of 10+ years).
  • Strong working knowledge of project management methods and techniques; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or an equivalent designation is an asset.
  • Strategic thinker with ability toanticipate risks and emerging issues, evaluate alternatives, and take timely, independent action to keep projects moving forward.
  • Ability to confidently lead meetings, establish clear expectations, negotiate mutually beneficial solutions, and build alignment among project teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, organization, and planning skills, with a sense of urgency and the ability to drive complex issues through to resolution.

Working Conditions:
  • Office environment.
  • Significant travel is required during key project stages (up to 50%), including permitting and construction. Frequent travel to project locations is required during construction. Ability to travel and work throughout the United States.
  • A valid driver's license and maintenance of a responsible driving record is required which will be validated before hire.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light to moderate lifting of objects weighing up to 20 pounds, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirements including the ability to see screens, detect colour coding, and read fine print, hearing requirements, and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information; understand complex problems and collaborate to explore alternative solutions; organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology; organize and prioritize work schedules on a short-term basis; make decisions that have a moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impacts outside this area; understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines; complete routine forms; compose letters, outlines, memoranda, and basic reports; and communicate with individuals by telephone.

Salary:
  • Ranges from $115,000 - $153,000 USD for U.S. locations based upon candidate's experience, skills, and internal equity.
  • Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.
