Full Job Description
JT4 provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.

The Human Systems Integration Project Lead (HSI) will perform a variety of tasks in aerospace HSI that supports flight testing. Design, develop, evaluate, test, install, and integrate, sustainment operations. Use ingenuity and creative problem solving to support the operations & maintenance team.

What You Will Do With JT4

JOB SUMMARY - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
  • Conduct research and reference reading to assist high-level engineers in obtaining human factors technical information; keep informed of currently approved standards, codes and procedures applied to HSI, perform HSI, and submit technical papers
  • Perform HSI tasks that are varied, with established deadlines with emphasis on the importance of HSI and the impact of human performance on the flight test vehicle
  • Interface with teams across the project to provide human factors expertise and analysis
  • Plan & execute successive HSI stops and resolve technical problems by standard practices & techniques such as tolerance studies, and design calculations
  • Interact with aircrew to develop and conduct human factors surveys and use computer-assisted test methods, and conduct laboratory investigations on equipment or systems
  • Prepare, deliver, and submit technical presentations for in-process design & review meetings
  • Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous cockpit, instrumentation, and display ergonomics
  • Aircraft platform enhancement experience that focuses on pilot feedback


REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Must have a bachelor's or higher degree, or any combination of formal education, training and experience equivalent to six years involvement in technically demanding program or project assignments. Must have demonstrated knowledge and skills in resource organization and allocation, planning and budgeting, continuous quality and process improvement, configuration management, setting and measurement of program goals, as well as good verbal and written communication skills.

The incumbent must possess a valid, state-issued driver's license. Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.

SALARY

The expected salary range for this position is $83,907 to $87,360 annually.

JT4, LLC considers factors such as (but not limited to) responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position involves work typical of an office environment with no unusual hazards. There is occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds), constant sitting and use of a computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while writing, reviewing, and editing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, and constant mental alertness. Routine travel to remote Company work locations may be required.
