Project Lead - Digital Analog PCB Design

We are currently seeking a qualified Project Lead - Digital Analog PCB Design to support manufacturing and testing operations. The Project Engineer will work across RF digital, software, and FPGA domains, collaborating closely with Project Managers and overseeing aspects of production. The role requires familiarity with manufacturing processes, electronic boards, and electronic units. Proficiency with JIRA and experience in risk management are essential. A foundational understanding and exposure to RF circuit design, high-speed signal processing, and motor control are also required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a Digital/Analog design team for space products.
  • Coordinate a cross-functional team of members of various skills: RF, systems, power, digital, manufacturing, structure, packaging, EMC, and thermal, etc.
  • Responsible for leading a team to deliver on program cost, schedule, and technical requirements.
  • Plan and schedule with various specialties (structure, thermal, packaging, manufacturing, quality assurance, etc.) necessary reviews for the various deliverables.
  • Oversee procurement production tasks to ensure cost and schedule are met.
  • Prioritize the team tasks and goals to meet programming milestones.
  • Provide and communicate understanding of the programmatic aspects of a program to the technical team.
  • Lead sub-contractual activities and support new business proposal opportunities.
  • Report on staffing levels to the program manager.
  • Assess risk and make risk-based decisions in collaboration with management and technical team throughout program lifecycle to ensure program objectives are met.
  • Ensure the Digital/Analog team follows quality and reliability standards.
  • Support digital department improvement initiatives.
  • Guide junior members and new employees.
  • Coordinate with technical leads and program managers on the conversion of system-level requirements into electronic unit-level requirements.

Basic Qualifications

Must Have
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in processor design, digital-analog circuit design, motor control circuits, or related fields.
• Minimum of three (3) years in a leadership position with experience successfully leading a project from start to finish.
• Proficiency in both French and English, written and spoken; ability to lead group discussions; strong interpersonal and conflict management skills.
• Experience with cost and schedule management.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies (PSPO, Management 3.0, Scrum, Agile at scale).
• Knowledge and experience with tools or languages such as Excel, Python, JIRA, MS Project, etc.
• Ability to coach and supervise a team.
• Understanding of electronic circuits and various communication protocols.
• Knowledge of printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing processes.
• Experience developing complex circuit architectures and supervising multidisciplinary teams.
• Basics and Exposure to RF circuit design, high-speed signal processing, and motor control is required.
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
Knowledge of radiation effects on components in aerospace environments is an asset.
