Full Job Description
We are seeking a full-time ProjectHydrogeologist to assist with our municipal solid waste (MSW)and coal combustion residuals (CCR) projects.
Use your hydrogeologic expertise to solve real world problems as part of our Upper Midwest environmental consulting practice. Our regional team has physical offices in Madison, Milwaukee, Green Bay, Chicago, and Peoria, and we offer a flexible hybrid work environment.
How you can make an impact
The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to apply geologic and hydrogeologic knowledge and experience in an environmental consulting setting. Responsibilities include:
• Implementing groundwater investigations and monitoring systems at MSW landfills, and electric utility CCR landfills and impoundments.
• Processing and analyzing hydrogeologic and geologic data.
• Managing, interpreting and reporting groundwater monitoring data.
• Preparing technical reports, proposals, bid documents, health & safety plans, and other documents.
• Researching technical data and regulations.
• Coordinating work with contractors, laboratories, and regulators.
• Pursuing technical improvement for self and company.
• Delivering professional services on time and high quality following local and state regulations, SCS’s Quality Assurance Program, and within the planned level of project profitability.
• Making decisions both independently and collaboratively on scientific problems and methods.
• Communicating with clients, third-party, and regulatory agents regarding project status, schedules, and compliance issues.
• Following client and corporate contract specifications in all activities including health, safety, security, and environment.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science related field required. Master’s degree in Hydrogeology or Master’s degree in Geology with graduate level hydrogeology coursework preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in working in an environmental consulting firm, or other relevant experience required.
• Experience with groundwater monitoring program implementation for municipal solid waste (MSW) landfills and/or coal combustion residual (CCR) sites preferred.
• Experience with federal and state regulatory interpretation and compliance preferred.
• Ability to obtain or pursuing a P.G. license preferred.
• Experience with GIS and/or database management preferred.
• Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training a plus.
• A valid driver’s license with a driving record in good standing required.
Pay RangeUSD $80,000.00 - USD $110,000.00 /Yr.
