POSITION OVERVIEWThe Project Executive is a senior leadership role responsible for managing a portfolio ("book of work") of high-end residential construction projects. This individual provides strategic oversight across multiple project teams and serves as the highest authority within the project structure for client-facing and operational decision-making.
The Project Executive is accountable for overall client satisfaction, financial performance, project execution, and the development of project personnel. This role requires a strong balance of leadership, business acumen, and operational excellence, with a consistent focus on delivering best-in-class outcomes aligned with company standards and values.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESPROJECT & FINANCIAL OVERSIGHT
- Maintain full responsibility for the financial health of all assigned projects, including budgets, forecasting, cash flow, and cost control
- Ensure all subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders are properly reviewed, approved, and executed
- Proactively communicate financial impacts and budget updates to clients and stakeholders
- Monitor expenditures, billing, and collections in coordination with internal teams
SCHEDULING & EXECUTION- Oversee project schedules and ensure alignment with contractual milestones
- Conduct regular schedule reviews and assess impacts on cost and resources
- Ensure all schedule changes are communicated and approved by clients and design teams
PROCUREMENT & CONTRACT MANAGEMENT- Lead final negotiations and buyout of all trades
- Review subcontractor proposals and provide recommendations to clients and consultants
- Ensure subcontractors meet contractual obligations and performance standards
SITE & QUALITY OVERSIGHT- Conduct regular site visits to ensure safety, cleanliness, and quality standards are upheld
- Maintain strong relationships with building management, neighbors, and external stakeholders
- Ensure all job sites operate in compliance with company safety and operational standards
PROJECT ADMINISTRATION- Oversee all aspects of project setup, documentation, and reporting
- Ensure accurate maintenance of logs, correspondence, and project records
- Attend key meetings and ensure consistent communication across all project teams
- Ensure timely completion of all required reporting to senior leadership
PROJECT CLOSEOUT- Oversee project closeout, ensuring completion of all outstanding items
- Facilitate smooth transition to Service & Maintenance teams
TEAM LEADERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT- Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers and project staff
- Conduct performance evaluations and support career development initiatives
- Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement
CLIENT RELATIONS & LEADERSHIP ENGAGEMENT- Serve as a senior representative of the company in client interactions
- Participate in Client Relations and Management Committee meetings
- Support broader company initiatives and strategic efforts as required
REQUIREMENTS- Minimum 10 years of high-end residential construction and management experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience supervising and developing personnel
- Strong business acumen with expertise in financial management, budgeting, and forecasting
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and lead in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or Business preferred
WORK ENVIRONMENT & EXPECTATIONSThis role operates in a fast-paced, high-performance environment requiring both office-based leadership and regular on-site engagement. The Project Executive is expected to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in all interactions, consistent with company policies and ethical guidelines .COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- $175,000 - $215,000, commensurate with experience
