Minimum qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in project management, business development, or engineering roles related to infrastructure.
- Experience developing and presenting business cases to executive leadership for executive approvals.
- Experience in the construction to operations handover process, including managing third-party commissioning.
- Experience in project/program management with a focus on projects and distributed teams.
- Experience with technology product life-cycle or localization.
Preferred qualifications:- Master's degree in a relevant engineering or business discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience navigating the regional utilities process for new electrical service and infrastructure growth.
- Experience working in a global, matrixed organization with various stakeholder groups.
- Knowledge of grid infrastructure (transmission and distribution) and CPUC regulations.
- Familiarity with Google's operational standards and project delivery methodologies.

Responsibilities- Provide technical design & engineering oversight, leveraging a comprehensive and deep background in mechanical, electrical, and control (MEP) design and construction.
- Act as a subject matter expert who actively challenges assumptions and proposes innovative solutions.
- Offer technical oversight in sophisticated environments, specifically data center environments, as well as specialized technical facilities such as Central Utility Plants (CUPs), clean rooms, heavy labs, chilled water systems, power/cooling distribution systems, and electrical substations.
- Lead the initial project phase by creating comprehensive business cases that clearly articulate the scope, risks, and technical implications necessary to secure executive alignment.
- Conduct extensive collaboration with cross-functional teams-including Technical Engineering, Finance, Controls, Security, and Technical and Workplace Services-to gather requirements and validate assumptions during the business case development phase and confirm scope and design BODs (Basis of Designs).
