Project Executive, you will play a pivotal role in expanding market presence and revenue by driving business development, managing key client relationships, and overseeing the full lifecycle of mechanical construction projects - from preconstruction estimating through design consultation and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities - Develop new business opportunities within the Healthcare, Laboratories, and Life Sciences vertical markets.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in assigned vertical markets, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of trends, news, stakeholders, competitors, and industry events.
- Share responsibility for the development and maintenance of the Market Plan for vertical markets, in coordination with internal stakeholders across multiple lines of business.
- Develop, manage, and maintain client relationships and accounts.
- Lead and/or assist in the development of RFP and RFQ responses.
- Participate in client interviews and presentations.
- Develop proficient conceptual estimates at early project stages.
- Accurately maintain and update budgets throughout the preconstruction phase.
- Communicate and turn over complete, detailed estimates to the construction team.
- Perform construction feasibility studies on third-party designs.
- Consult with clients on facility design, facilitating the design process throughout preconstruction to deliver budget-based designs that meet client needs.
- Perform and/or manage design work as needed.
- Review budget estimates for accuracy and completeness.
- Understand and follow established project management processes as applicable.
- Uphold professional standards and core company values at all times.
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality as essential job functions.
- Depending on experience and client expectations, may be required to perform the functions of a Senior Project Manager or Project Manager for specific projects.
Secondary Responsibilities - Assist in the bid process and procurement of new work.
- Procure, develop, and maintain client contacts and relationships.
- Participate in professional coaching and development processes.
QualificationsRequired Skills and Abilities - Demonstrated ability to accurately estimate mechanical construction work.
- Proven ability to lead teams and foster a positive working environment.
- Strong understanding and communication of basic mechanical concepts.
- Advanced organizational and time management skills.
- High attention to detail, recognizing that errors can result in significant financial consequences.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Results-driven work ethic with the ability to manage multiple job responsibilities simultaneously.
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Project, Access, AutoCAD, PowerPoint, and CRM platforms.
Supervisory Responsibility - May be required to supervise Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Estimators.
- May oversee the marketing effort on proposals.
Preferred Education and Experience - A minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a mechanical project manager or in a similar role.
- A degree in Construction Management or Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering is preferred.
