Position Summary:

Position will require candidate to perform project engineering work that will require application of standard and advanced engineering problem solving, techniques, procedures and criteria in developing/improving processes and/or systems. Independently develops clear and specific objectives for given assignments that may require the investigation of a several alternative solutions. Develops thoughts and ideas into engineered solutions with approval from supervisor and provides guidance to co-ops, technicians and other engineers. Effectively participates in a team setting to achieve results. Effectively leads moderate to large projects.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assignments may include process research, equipment design and development, process design and development
  • Preparation and deployment of specifications and/or related documentation
  • Train engineers, technicians and non-technical associates. Actively supports the development of co-ops, technicians and engineers
  • Leads moderate to large scope projects or supports moderate to large scope projects
  • Proficient in the area of project management
  • Completes assignment on time according to budgetary constraints and customer expectations
  • Proficient utilization of current process control methodologies
  • Is an operations resource for technical questions related to processes and/or product-lines
  • Communicates progress through management updates and team meetings
  • Coordinates the work of team members and others who assist on specific assignments
  • Works with site personnel to provide continuous communication and ensure smooth implementation of process development work into plant operations


Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Required:
  • BS degree in Engineering plus appropriate continuous training
  • 3-5 years, project leadership or supervisory experience
  • Some formal exposure to areas outside own department
  • Recognized as a resource in areas of expertise
  • Ability to solve complex problems and complete multiple projects, using advanced problem solving methods to make decisions
  • Applies proven technology independently
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong computer and typical office software skills
  • Experienced with developing and achieving future state plans and leading others in change initiatives
  • Desire for additional responsibilities in technical or manufacturing leadership
