POSITION SUMMARYWe are currently seeking a
SeniorNetwork Engineer. With minimal supervision and general direction, the Senior Network Engineer will maintain the operation of all Local Area Networks and the Wide Area Network. This position will architect new solutions for increasing efficiencies, reducing costs, increased security, and/or scalability. Introduce new technology as appropriate for keeping the Sonaca North America network current with industry. While performing all duties and responsibilities, the Network Engineer will always model Sonaca North America values and principles and act in a manner consistent with the Sonaca North America Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Solution and maintain the operation of all Local Area Networks and Wide Area Networks including all routers and switches.
- Solution and maintain firewalls, including the remote access solution
- Create and maintain network architecture documentation, standards and procedures
- Solution and maintain wireless environments
- Solution and maintain fiber channel environment for storage
- Coordinate all wiring changes (line drops, terminations, etc.) with plant maintenance departments or general managers
- Solution and maintain the Wide Area Network circuits through the Service Provider(s)
- Solution and maintain Internet solution(s)
- Solution and maintain web filtering
- Coordinate, solution and maintain network security with security department
- Solution and maintain metrics of system/network performance, network/system monitoring
- Maintain logs of all network outages and cause of these outages, Root Cause Analysis
- Assist with other IT related issues/projects as required
- Knowledge of Cisco telephony, Cisco and Juniper switching and routers, Palo Alto firewalls and Meraki wireless
- Experience with SD WAN technologies preferably with Aruba SD WAN an asset
- Experience with HPE Clearpass for NAC would be considered an asset.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent training and experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience as Network Administrator
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus
- Industry Certifications are a plus (CCNA, CCNP, Network +, etc.)
- Network design and architecture in a multi-site environment
- Network monitoring, metrics, and troubleshooting
- Network documentation, drawings, inventory
- Wireless networking at an enterprise level
- Network security at an enterprise level
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Excellent presentation skills
- Ability to work in a high stress environment with multiple changing priorities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Self-motivated
