Job SummaryJBC Associates has an immediate opening for a Project Engineer to work full-time with our construction management staff at Philadelphia International Airport. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2-5 years of experience in the design or construction of facility projects who is eager to advance their career. The selected candidate will play a key role in our construction management team, assisting in managing all facets of construction projects.
- Provide daily on-site observation and documentation of construction work to ensure the project complies with plans and specifications.
- Monitor and prepare daily comprehensive documentation including construction activity, equipment, and manpower on various inspection reports.
- Monitor established schedules and document work performance and schedule variances
- Participate in weekly progress meetings.
- Prepare and distribute meeting minutes.
- Review project drawings, specifications, submittals and change orders.
- Provide field support to DOA management to help ensure contract compliance, quality control, and maintenance of the site.
- Track project phase completion against milestones.
- Maintain project documentation in e-Builder.
- Maintain RFI and change order logs.
- Provide support to Project Managers as directed.
Requirements
Qualifications- Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or Construction Technology.
- Possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- 2-5 years in the construction industry preferred, including internships.
- General knowledge of general construction processes, practices, and work sites.
- General knowledge of safety regulations, ANSI standards, local and state building codes, environmental codes, and availability of industry-specific codes and guidelines.
- General knowledge of engineering principles.
- Ability to read and understand technical specifications, blueprints, technical manuals, product/material installation instructions and engineering/architectural drawings.
- Experience with construction projects, mechanical/electrical systems, building materials, building mechanics, or working with craft workers, a plus.
- Knowledge of project control software is a plus.
Other Conditions- Position requires the ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods, and the ability to walk long distances, including up and down stairs.
- Kneel, squat, and lean over frequently.
- Must have reliable transportation.

Salary Description
$90,000 - $110,000 based on experience
