Compensation Range:

$72,600 - $120,900

Job Title: Project Engineer

Location: Daleville, VA

Company: Munters Corporation

As a member of the Munters Engineering team, you will play an important role in designing custom HVAC solutions for Data Centers and other commercial clients.   Due to the custom nature of the equipment and its application, the Project Engineer will gain valuable experience in many design disciplines. Training is provided on-site by our experienced team of Engineers.  The position will start in the Daleville, VA facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develops custom air handler solutions by reviewing detailed job specifications, selecting components, generating mechanical drawings, and creating bills of material.
  • Support production processes to eliminate any questions, concerns, and/or roadblocks during manufacture.
  • Supports new product development with conceptual designs, layouts, and bills of materials as needed.
  • Supports continuous improvement and cost reduction activities through improved product design / design for manufacturing (DFM)
  • Assists with production and/or customer testing of completed systems.
  • Commercializes new control solutions such as sensors, actuators, VFDs, and networking.
  • Provides Mechanical Engineering expertise and/or support to other departments as needed

DESIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum B.S. In Mechanical Engineering or B.S.E.T in Mechanical Engineering Technology
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer
  • Experience with selection of components used in HVAC applications using computer programs.
  • Practical knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems preferred; but not required.
  • Previous experience with product testing, troubleshooting, and HVAC control strategies
  • Ability to generate drawings with AutoCAD or similar programs
  • Knowledge of safety standards
