Project Engineer, Engineering Services to join our Building & Construction team in our Coquitlam, BC office. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) Industry!
The
Project Engineer, Engineering Services is responsible for managing complex projects related to regulatory compliance of building products and/or assemblies, direct involvement in Intertek certification programs, and engagement with various external industries and technical associations.
What you'll do: - Work on engineering evaluations for regulatory compliance in Canada and US markets for both standardized and innovative building materials/assemblies
- Prepare technical and certification documentation derived from test results and evaluations.
- Help write compliance research reports, create Listing reports through Intertek's certification program, and manage QA programs
- Perform audits and product sampling at client manufacturing facilities.
- Collaborate closely with sales, laboratory, and technical teams to support seamless project execution.
- Manage assigned projects from initiation to completion, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely delivery with continuous communication with clients.
- Participate actively in industry committees, standards development activities, and technical association meetings.
- Interact with clients, accreditors and/or Authority Having Jurisdiction to resolve any matters
What it takes to be successful in this role:- Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field
- Minimum of five years of experience in technical writing, regulatory compliance, and familiarity with the testing, inspection, and certification industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams
- Microsoft Office software expertise
- Valid driver's license
- Be able to travel within Canada and USA
